Artistic Identity
“My artistic identity is built from the many experiences I enjoy that directly influence my work. Among them are living in different countries, the social, ideological, economic, religious, family, etc. characteristics from each one. It includes also the influence of various artists and theorists from different historical periods, popular culture and classical, as well as my academic background in Art and history of Visual Arts and dozens of extension courses, theoretical and practical, especially in history of art, drawing, painting, sculpture and stage design in Brazil, France and the Czech Republic.
Cities, buildings, land, slums, people who wander the streets (I have a thing to watch the antics of them), urban waste, the attitudes of the contemporary subject, colours and shapes of everyday life, the thousand possibilities of shapes and colours of nature, smells, details … I’m always attentive to all these images, sensations and emotions, because they are also my source of inspiration and life! “VitóriaBiagiolli 2009.
